Back to Come Let Us Reason Together

THE PROPHET LIKE MOSES (MOISHE RABBENU)

THE PROPHET

“The L-RD your G-d will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you, from your countrymen, you shall listen to him. This is according to all that you asked of the L-RD your G-d in Horeb on the day of the assembly, saying, ‘Let me not hear again the voice of the L-RD my G-d, let me not see this great fire anymore, lest I die.’ And the L-RD said to me, ‘They have spoken well. I will raise up a prophet from among their countrymen like you, and I will put My words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I command him.”

Devarim (Deuteronomy) 18:15-18

“When therefore the people saw the sign which He had performed, they said, ‘This is of a truth the Prophet who is to come into the world.”

MOISHE RABBENU AND MOSHIACH ARE BOTH FAITHFUL AND MEEK IN THEIR CHARACTER

“”Then the L-rd came down in a pillar of cloud and stood at the doorway of the tent, and He called Aaron and Miriam. Then they had both come forward, He said, ‘Hear now My words: If there is a prophet among you, I, the L-RD, shall make Myself known to him in a vision. I shall speak with him in a dream. Not so, with My servant Moses, He is faithful in all My household.”

Bamidbar (Numbers) 2:5-7

“Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider Yeshua, the Apostle and High Priest of our confession. He was faithful to Him who appointed Him, as Moses also was in all His house.”

Hebrews 3:1-2

“Now Moses was faithful in all His house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken later; but Moshiach was faithful as a Son over His house whose house we are, if we hold fast our confidence and the boast of our hope firm until the end.”

“Now the man Moses was very humble, more than any man who was on the face of the earth.

“The L-RD spoke to you face to face at the mountain from the midst of the fire, while I was standing between the L-RD and you at that time, to declare to you the word of the L-RD; for you were afraid because of the fire and did not go up the mountain.

MOISHE RABBENU AND MOSHIACH ARE BOTH AUTHORITATIVE IN THEIR WORDS

“The L-RD your G-d will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you, from your countrymen, you shall listen to him. This is according to all that you asked of the L-RD your G-d in Horeb on the day of the assembly, saying, ‘Let me not hear again the voice of the L-RD my G-d, let me not see this great fire anymore, lest I die.’ And the L-RD said to me, ‘They have spoken well. I will raise up a prophet from among their countrymen like you, and I will put My words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I command him.”

Devarim 18:15-18

Yeshua said: “For I did not speak on My own initiative, but the Father Himself who sent Me has given Me commandment, what to say, and what to speak. And I know that His commandment is eternal life; therefore the things I speak, I speak just as the Father has told Me.”

Devarim 18:19

“And if anyone hears My sayings, and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world. He who rejects Me, and does not receive My sayings, has one who judges him; the word I spoke is what will judge him at the last day”.
