When Was Moshiach to Come?

According to the prophet Daniel, the Moshiach was to come before the destruction of the second temple at Jerusalem. Here is the prediction:

Daniel’s Prophecy:

Moshiach shall be cut off, but not for Himself; and the people of the prince that is to come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary.

Daniel 9:26

Moshiach came, and was “cut off’ as foretold. Soon afterward “the city” of Jerusalem, and “the sanctuary: of the Temple, were destroyed by “the people of the prince” Titus and his Roman legions, in C.E. 70, precisely as predicted centuries before by Daniel the prophet .
